Background Check Process for Campus Coaches
The First Priority Club app is the hub for any new Campus Coach or returning Campus Coach. Any new Campus Coach should start their application process inside the First Priority Club app. They are encouraged to download the app from the app store on their phone (or click here) and sign up for an account by following the prompts on their screen. They will be sent an email with the next steps and appropriate links for them to fill out.
This help article will guide you through the next steps once these Campus Coaches initiate this process.
New Campus Coaches are automatically displayed in your Pending Users tab in the People section.
- Navigate to this section by clicking on “People” in the menu on the left side of your desktop or the bottom of your screen on your phone. Then, click on “Pending” at the top of your screen toward the middle of the window.
- Find the Campus Coach you wish to move to the next step of the application process and click on their name.
- Start by scrolling down to the “Roles” section and make sure to check “Campus Coach” as their role. Then click on the “Add a coached club” button toward the bottom and add them to one or more schools.
- Next, scroll back up and click on “Application process.” You will notice four new items to work through.
- Application email (This email is created in the settings tab in your account. This email should include all necessary links to the Campus Coach application, background check form, and child safety training.)
- Application form
- Background check
- Child safety training
- Start the application process by sending them an application email by clicking the three dots next to “Application email.” Click “Send email” or “Re-send email” if one has already been sent.
- After you have received their application form, update their profile by clicking on the three dots next to “Application form” and entering the date when that application was received.
- Once you have received a cleared background check, click on the three dots next to “Background check” and add the date the cleared background check was received.
- If your chapter requires a child safety training for Campus Coaches, then you should receive a passing score from that training, and then update their profile by adding the date it was completed by clicking on the three dots next to “Child safety training.”
- After all of the required fields are complete, you may then scroll to the top of the Campus Coach profile and click on the three dots next to “Membership” and verify their membership. NOTE: All required forms must have a completed date in their profile before the system will allow you to verify them.
NOTE: If the First Priority Support Center handles the background check process for you, then our office will automatically fill in the necessary dates and verify the Campus Coach on your behalf.
