Version 1.18.0 – January 21, 2025 Update
We’ve got two exciting updates included in this new version of the First Priority Club app! This version is now available on your desktop by using app.firstpriority.club and has been submitted for review through Apple and Android. It will be available as an update on those devices once approved.
1) Club Status
First, your clubs now have a status! If you are familiar with Smartsheets, we previously had clubs listed with a green, yellow, or red status. Sometimes, you might see a blue status. We’ve now made that an option in the First Priority Club app!
Why is this a good thing? Now, you can add clubs to your database that have not launched yet and have students join their club to get updates. You can also make clubs inactive, removing them from your total club count on the Metrics data. You can also move clubs to a “blue” status, meaning it needs attention. This still counts toward your active club count but is an internal way of helping you identify which schools might need a little extra help. All of these statuses are manually changed on your end except for one process, which you will read about below.
Things to know:
- All of your current clubs are listed as “Active” right now. We encourage you to take a few minutes and filter.
- New clubs will automatically be added as a Pending club. Pending clubs will automatically move to Active once that club has scheduled its first meeting in the app. Of course, you can manually move any club to whatever status you would like at any time.
What do you need to do from here?
- Log into your account and click on “My FP.”
- Click on the dropdown menu at the top of your screen to change “Meetings” to “Clubs.”
- Click on individual clubs to change their status, as shown below.
2) New Club Process
We have simplified the process of creating a new club in your area!
Previously, you had to start by ensuring you had an Area created before you could make a school, and the last step was creating a club. We’ve now reversed that order to allow a faster process to create schools that eliminates a lot of steps.
- Log into your account and click on “My FP.”
- Click on the dropdown menu at the top of your screen to change “Meetings” to “Clubs.”
- Click on the button in the bottom right side of the screen that says “Add club.”
- Add the club name.
- Include any coaches, sponsors, or default settings here if you would like. However, these options are optional at this point. You can always add these later.
- Add a school by either of these two options:
- Choose a school that is already in your database from the dropdown menu.
- Click “Create” to be guided through the process of adding your school and area information.
- Click “Done!”
Note: New clubs are automatically created with a status of Pending. As mentioned before, a Pending club status will automatically move from Pending to Active once that club has its first meeting scheduled in the app.
Enjoy!
