Verifying Users

As a Director, you are responsible for verifying which users can access which parts of the app experience or deny their access. Watch the video below or follow along with the guide below.

1) People Tab

First, make sure that you are in the “People” tab in your app. You will see all of the current and active users in the first tab, their role, and their school.

2) Pending Users

At the top of the screen, you will notice various options to choose from: Active, Pending, Expired, Alumni, and Deactivated. To verify pending users, click on the Pending tab.

3) Verify Information

Click on a name in the list to verify their information. Note: please do not verify a student that you are not sure if they belong to your organization. In their profile, you can see their membership status, phone number, email address, mailing address, membership request, and roles.

Click on the “Membership request” dropdown to review information that the student provided when setting up their account.

• Requested school – This is a school that the student or adult manually typed in when setting up their profile. This is the school that they are requesting access to.
• Nearest location – If the person registering uses has their location services turned on, the system will identify where they are located to help place them in the correct chapter/district. You will be shown their nearest school and chapter/district.
• Graduation year – This is to help identify what grade they are in.

4) Assign Roles

Click on the “Roles” dropdown menu. There are 4 roles you can choose from in this view.

• FP Staff – If this person is a paid staff member who needs access to the entire system for your chapter or district, check the box next to this item. This would include directors and area coordinators.
• Coach – This person is identified as a Campus Coach or Campus Mentor who is viewing their schools they oversee.
• Facult Spons0r – This person is designated as the teacher who is in the room when a particular club meets. They have the same abilities that a Coach would have.
• Assign as a student – Click this item when this is a student registering to use this service.
  • You will be given the option to select their school and club in the following windows.

5) Verify Member

After you have given them a role to play, scroll back to the top of the screen and click the blue “Verify”‘ button to confirm this action.
